    Player Code Of Conduct
    1. Always play within the standard rules of baseball.
    2. Verbal abuse of, or deliberate interference with opponents, will not be tolerated by any Officials. Respect your opponents and appreciate their good play.
    3. Do not argue with any Umpires or Officials. If you have a problem, discuss it with your Coach or Manager and allow them to take the necessary action.
    4. Foul language will not be tolerated on or off the field.
    5. Baseball is a team game, always encourage your teammates even when mistakes are made. All players have off days. Never ridicule your teammates.
    6. Your Coaches, Managers, and Officials deserve your support and full commitment, respect the time and efforts that they put in.
    7. At times you may be required to take a turn on the bench. When on the bench, encourage your team and be prepared to play at all times.
    8. Respect the equipment provided for your use. Abuse of equipment, such as throwing helmets or bats, will not be tolerated. Baseball equipment is very expensive and should be used properly.
    9. Think smart, safety first, be responsible to avoid injury to yourself and others.
    10. Enjoy the game and always play to the best of your ability, both at practices and at games.

    Please note, Randburg Mets Baseball Club adheres to POPIA regulations. Should you require more information on our POPIA compliance, please request it from the Club President. All information captured in this form will only be for the use of the Randburg Mets Baseball Club for the purposes of registration at the club. By completing this form, you agree to these terms. Details captured are required to complete registration of the participants.

    Parent/Guardian code of conduct
    1. Encourage your child to always play within the standard rules of baseball and to accept the Umpire’s decision.
    2. Sportsmanship is important, applaud good play from all teams and encourage your child to accept that one's effort is as important as victory. Offensive behaviour from parents or spectators is not acceptable, and action will be taken against offenders.
    3. If you disagree with an Umpire, Official, or Coach, raise the issue through the appropriate channels rather than question the person in public.
    4. Foul language will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
    5. Never ridicule, abuse or yell at a child for making a mistake or losing a game. Some players are stronger than others. Do not force an unwilling child to participate in baseball or expect more from your child than their best efforts.
    6. The Coaches, Managers, and Officials deserve your support and full commitment in getting your child to practices and matches on time. Respect the time and efforts that they put in. Abuse of Coaches, Managers, and Officials will not be tolerated.
    7. Accept and understand that at times your child may be asked to take a turn on the bench all team players will be given the appropriate opportunity to play.
    8. Don’t leave your child at baseball, stay and support the team during matches. Volunteers are appreciated to assist where possible.
    9. Be open to constructive discussions of your child’s progress with the Coaches.
    10. Children are encouraged to play baseball for fun. As responsible parent or guardian accept any mistakes as part of their learning process.


    Indemnity Clause
    I, the undersigned (Parent / Guardian), authorise a Club representative to act in loco parentis and to give any consent required by hospital or medical authorities in respect to any medical attention that may deem necessary for the player named herein. I hereby permit the Club to utilise and distribute my and/or my child’s personal information as required by any associate institution and for the purposes of furthering the sport (as determined by the Executive Committee of the Club). I waiver any right that I may have to claim compensation against the Association or Club, or management or any other member/s, or any related party, in respect of any loss, expense, injury or damage that I or my child may suffer whilst engaged in the Club’s activities due to any cause whatsoever and including, but not limited to, claims arising as a result of negligence.
